France:"Heineken" to cut 93 jobs in France
Beer maker Heineken NV plans to cut 93 jobs in France as it seeks to streamline its operations to boost its competitiveness in a slumping French beer market, the French unit of the Dutch group said June 12.
It however said in a statement that 34 new jobs would be created, adding that there would be no brutal layoffs.
Heineken France also planned to regroup its Brasseries Heineken and Brasserie Fischer units' marketing and sales departments to strengthen the marketing of its flagship brands.
