Belarus: By 2010 beer production is to increase up to 6 million hl

By 2010 Belarus beer production is to increase up to 6 million hl that is twice as much as last year volume. To this purpose about USD 125.2 mln is supposed to be invested in technical reequipment and companies’ reconstruction. The program will allow increasing industry profitability up to 30%.

In 2005 Belarus brewers produced about 2.7 million hl of beer, an increase by 19.5% compared to 2004. Now in Belarus activates about 13 brewers and some other microbrewers, which are able to produce about 4.9 million hl of beer per year.
