UK: Greene King announced directors' shareholdings

Greene King plc announced that, on 3 February 2006, 2,000 new ordinary shares in the company were transferred by Kleinwort Benson (Guernsey) Trustees Limited, as trustee of the Greene King Employee Share Trust, to satisfy shares awarded to employees of the group. As a result of the transfer, Rooney Anand, Ian Bull, Justin Adams, Mark Angela and David Elliott, who are beneficiaries of the trust, no longer have an interest in the 2,000 shares in the company. This brings the number of new ordinary shares in the Company owned by the Greene King Employee Share Trust to a total of 397,822.

Greene King plc announced on February 3 that John Brady, non-executive director, has today bought 5,000 shares in the Company at a price of 754p per share, representing 0.003% of the issued share capital of the Company. The shares will be held in the name of T D Waterhouse Nominees (Europe) Limited.
