Brewing news Colombia: Ricardo Obregón resigns as CEO of Bavaria

The CEO of SABMiller South America, Barry Smith, in a press release of December 19, sincerely regrets Mr. Ricardo Obregon’s personal decision to resign from his position at SABMiller, since he was planning to count on him as a key member of the team. Mr. Smith added that since Mr. Obregon’s appointment in June 2001, he has performed an important role in Bavaria’s excellent achievements, and he acknowledged that the organization’s resigning CEO is very well esteemed within and beyond the Company due to his personal qualities and leadership.

SABMiller expressed its appreciation to Ricardo Obregon, who during the last twelve months was very professionally involved in the entire merger process of SABMiller and Bavaria.
The appointment of Bavaria’s new CEO will be announced in due time.
