Russia: Efes Breweries intends increasing turnover by 20% in Russian market
Efes Breweries International intends to increase its turnover by 20% in Russia in 2005, Efes Beverage Group CEO Semih Mavis stated at a conference on the Russian food and beverage industry at the Adam Smith Institute in Moscow on November 16, Interfax reported.
Mavis stated that the company's turnover in Russia this year would surpass $400 million and beer sales are expected to reach 6 million hectolitres compared to 5 million hectoliters in 2004.
Efes Brewery at present has three breweries in Russia - in Moscow, Rostov- on-Don and Ufa - and also holds a malting house in Moscow. The breweries have a joint production capacity of 7.7 million hectolitres of beer.
