Belgium:The faster than expected increase of Stella Artois sales drives up InBevs performance
InBev communicated on November 10 that the volumes of its global flagship brands - Brahma, Beck's and Stella Artois increased "much faster" than the overall volume of the group, upwards by 12 % in Q3, 11.8 % for the first nine months of 2005, as compared to the same period last year .
The volume growth in the UK was primarily driven by Stella Artois, up 7.6 %.Growth in the UK "reflects pricing in line with brand equity, personality and positioning", InBev said in statement.
The total volume grew organically by 6 % in quarter three, with beer volumes increased by 6.8 %.
