Romania: The government rejects both bids in Haber Brewery open bid tender
The Government of Romania has rejected both bids for a 51.71% stake in Haber brewery, Romania's privatisation agency, AVAS, said in a statement on October 20. The two bids were from Brau Union Romania and Brau Distributie.
A spokesman for AVAS said that the starting price for the stake has been set at US$ 1.8 million. AVAS will analyse the Haber situation and will decide in the near future which method it will use to privatise the company, the statement said
Haber Brewery, based in Hateg, western Romania, has a share capital of 7.98 million lei (2.2 million euro of US$2.7 million).
