Netherlands: Leeuw Bier closes its facilities in Netherlands
The Dutch brewery Leeuw Bier will close its facilities in the Netherlands, according to the company announcement of last week. Starting with 2006, the Dutch brewer will produce its beers in Haacht, Belgium.
The reason behind closing are several unprofitable investments accomplished in the past. The brewery had an annual capacity of 70,000 hectolitres and started brewing 120 years ago.
