China: Chinese demand for malting barley
According to analysts opinion China operates very cautiously, hoping for a large Australian barley crop and resulting pressure on prices. More competition is expected following the deregulation of some Australian markets.
Nevertheless the Chinese show more interest again in European malting barley, a sale of a 60,000 tonnes vessel has been confirmed, two-row and six-row barley, at a rumoured price of US $ 200,- CIF.
