USA: Coors� beers won multiple medals at the 24th Annual Great American Beer Festival

Coors Brewing Company announced on October 4 that its brands: Light and Keystone Light, and the Sandlot Brewery at Coors Field, were awarded medals at the 24th Annual Great American Beer Festival. In the 2005 American-Style Light Lager category, Coors Light received a silver medal and Keystone Light took home a bronze. The Sandlot Brewery at Coors Field was named the 2005 Small Brewing Company. Sandlot Brewery also took home two gold medals, four silver medals and one bronze medal at the festival for its brews, and Tom Hail of Sandlot Brewery was named the 2005 Small Brewing Company Brewer.

This year's Great American Beer Festival, held from September 29 through October 1 in Denver, featured a record-setting 2,335 beers from more than 460 breweries. Coors Light, Keystone Light and the Sandlot brews were evaluated against other beers in blind taste tests by more than 100 professional judges from around the world. Coors Brewing Company was an official sponsor of this year's festival and is the only major brewer to have been involved with the festival for all 24 years of its history.
