PRO Commentary 2005-06 crop year for designated barley. Unfavourable harvest conditions in western Canada have reduced designated barley supplies. However, the strength of the Canadian dollar has more than offset this development, along with expectations for a greater Australian presence in the export market this year, pending the outcome of the harvest there.
