British brewers are worrying for the tax of GBP 5 for the motorists that will enter Central London between 7am and 6.30pm charged from February 17, The Publican reports. The brewers fear that they will have to raise their prices to cope, as new tax will complicate deliveries to the region. Fuller's, London-based brewer, says it has to take in all costs 'somewhere in the business', saying that price raises may be the result. Local competitior Young's, however, plays down the effects and rules out raising its prices.
