Russia: Deputies supported beer excise rate increase

On July 6, the RF State Duma reviewed draft Federal Law on “Amending Articles 22 and 26 of Part 2 of the Russian Federation Tax Code” in the second reading, according to Russian Brewers Union Press-Service. The document, brought in by the RF Government, suggests putting 9% increase for beer excise for 2006, which responds to the inflation rate. The deputies reviewed the draft Federal Law and approved it in the second reading.
