Barley news Australia: Barley prices beginning to stabilize after four years of declines

After nearly four years of declining since the peak in 2022, Australian barley prices are beginning to stabilize at levels close to all-time lows, RMI Analytics said in their latest report.

The analysts maintain a steady outlook for the next six months, anticipating a gradual increase in malting barley prices. In contrast, feed barley is projected to make a slight uptick before entering a prolonged decline.

Sporadic rainfall has delayed harvest leaving it 2-3 weeks behind normal, especially on the east coast but the forecast is improving. Still, the final result being witnessed is a record level of barley production, reaching 15.8 mln tonnes.
