Brewing news USA, CA: Two Pitchers Brewing Co. getting ready to open a new San Francisco location

Two Pitchers Brewing Co., an Oakland-based craft brewery specializing in radlers, is getting ready to open in San Francisco’s Outer Sunset neighborhood at 3821 Noriega Street, WhatNow reported on October 20.

The company’s second location is set to move into the former home of Noriega Produce, which recently relocated one block away and rebranded as Gus’s Community Market, according to the San Francisco Standard. While an exact opening date has not been announced, co-owner Wilson Barr tells What Now San Francisco that the new Two Pitchers location is currently under construction and slated for an early 2026 debut. The beer garden will offer a rotating tap list, a laid-back environment, and a food menu built around smashburgers from local pop-up Maillard’s.

Founded by former college baseball teammates Barr and Tommy Hester, Two Pitchers Brewing Co. has built its identity around popularizing the radler, a low-alcohol blend of beer and juice or soda. Since launching in Oakland, the brand has expanded its distribution footprint while maintaining a focus on playful, approachable craft beer. The Outer Sunset opening marks their first expansion into San Francisco and reflects the company’s interest in connecting with beachgoers, cyclists, and runners near Sunset Dunes park.

The new location will lean more beer garden than traditional taproom, with space for 20 taps. Half will be dedicated to Two Pitchers’ own lineup, including the Weekender (a fruit-forward lager) and Bayou (a milk stout brewed with New Orleans-style coffee). The other half will rotate beers from neighboring craft breweries. Nonalcoholic options and a small wine selection will also be available.

Chef Max Ponzurick’s Maillard’s will serve food on-site, bringing its well-known smashburgers from the Outer Sunset Farmers Market into a permanent location. This mirrors Two Pitchers’ Oakland partnership with burger pop-up Lovely’s, keeping the pairing of burgers and radlers central to the brand’s experience.

The goal is to create a casual, community-oriented gathering spot that reflects the laid-back vibe of the surrounding neighborhood, according to the founders. They remain open to future expansion but are currently focused on building a welcoming space that aligns with their original vision for the brand.
