Ukraine: Barley exports continued falling in March, making up 152.3KMT just a half of the February volume. In total, Ukraine has supplied 3938KMT to the international market since the seasons beginning in compared with 1231 KMT in July/March 2003/04 MY, according to UkrAgroConsult.
The main problem connected with exports of wheat and barley from the Black Sea region in the coming season will be substantial grain supply offered by the EU, notwithstanding the expected curtailment of grain production in this region. Intervention stocks of these grains in the EU reached almost 2 MMT of barley and 6.7 MMT of wheat at the beginning of April.
