Brewing news USA, PA: Ranch City Brewing planning soft opening in Easton this week

Easton’s newest craft brewery opens this week in the heart of the Simon Silk Mill complex, lehighvalley.com reported on July 15.

And in Bethlehem, a full-time restaurant — it’s called 3 Broke Blokes Grille — is returning to Lost Tavern Brewing.

Ranch City Brewing at the Silk Mill, North 13th Street and Simon Boulevard, plans soft openings on Thursday, July 17 and Friday this week “to help us fine-tune the Ranch City Brewing experience,” according to the brewery’s Facebook page. The grand opening runs almost all day Saturday.

“Whether you’re a craft beer enthusiast or just looking for a fun night out, we’d love to raise a glass with you,” the brewery website says.

Ranch City takes the place of Böser Geist, a brewery in business from 2017 to 2024.

Owners and lifelong friends A.J. Mitchell and Kyle Randell wanted to create a place “where the heart of the ranch meets the pulse of the city in every brew,” their website says. They are running the brewery with master brewer Dan O’Leary.

The initial beer menu features a German Pilsner, two IPAs, two lagers, a sour, a cream ale and an Irish stout, all brewed in house. The beer menu is complemented by a handful of local beers, including Merry Monks from Weyerbacher and Dead Cat Bounce from Vault. You’ll find pizza, salads, smashburgers and pub fare to eat.

Mitchell and Randell own the Twisted Tees sports bar at the Outlets at Wind Creek in Bethlehem. Twisted Tees has an indoor beer garden with golf simulators, virtual hockey and baseball, a professional-grade putting green, cornhole, bocce and quoits.

The brewery is at 1250 Simon Blvd, Building K, Suite 100 in Easton.
