Brazil: Beer industry supports 2.5 mln direct and indirect jobs in Brazil
The Brazilian beer industry supports 2.5 million direct and indirect jobs, according to new data released by Sindicerv during the Brazilian Beer Technology Fair, FreshlyBottled.com reported.
Sindicerv represents 85% of Brazils beer companies and highlighted the sector's significant contribution to the national economy.
Beer production accounts for 2% of Brazils GDP and generates 8 billion in taxes across the production chain.
With 1,847 registered breweries across the country, Brazil ranks as the third-largest beer producer in the world, behind China and the United States.
