USA, PA: South County Brewing Company to open its third location in Lancaster City
A York County-based brewery has plans to expand into Lancaster County in 2025, York Dispatch reported on November 26.
South County Brewing Company, which has locations in Fawn Grove and York Township, plans to open a third location in Lancaster City.
This new location would take over a space previously occupied by the Pressroom Restaurant, located in Lancaster's historic Steinman Hardware Building, which closed its doors in June.
We are thrilled to bring South County to the City of Lancaster and to have the opportunity to revive such a cherished space, South County CEO Sam Terroso said. We look forward to creating a new home where both locals and visitors can enjoy great beer paired with a great menu in the center of this incredible city.
The new location will feature a wide selection of South Countys renowned craft beers and cocktails alongside a full menu of fresh American pub fare specializing in BBQ and artisan pizza.
Besides food and beverage offerings, the venue will host live music and have additional large party seating. The private event space is undergoing a full makeover and bar expansion. In the Spring of 2025, the Steinman Park courtyard will re-open for guests.
South County Brewing was founded in 2011 by J.R. and Jen Heaps in Fawn Grove, starting as a small 5-barrel brewing system, but quickly made a name for itself in central Pennsylvania with its small batch craft beers featuring hazy IPAs, pale ales, lagers and fruit-based kettle sours.
By 2018, the brewery had reached production capacity. Sam and Kellee Terroso joined the South County ownership team in 2019 to help South County expand its brand and footprint.
Since opening its York Township location in 2022, the two existing locations have welcomed over 400,000 guests a year.
