Brazil: Schincariol, Brazil’s second largest brewing group, is planning to invest about US$ 42 million (R$ 115 milhões) in construction of a new brewery located in Tres Lagoas, in the southern state of Mato Grosso do Sul, according to a statement of Valor Economico. This is the eighth brewery of Schincariol. The construction started on March 29. The brewery is expected to become operational between March and April next year and create 160 direct jobs. The production capacity of the new brewery is to be of 150,000 litres of beer per year,

The investment is one-third financed by Schincariol’s own funds. The remainder will be funded by Brazil’s National Social and Economic Development Bank through a loan, Valor Economico said.
