USA, CA: Anderson Valley Brewing Company up for sale
Reflecting tough economic times for craft brewers, Anderson Valley Brewing Company, one of the pioneers in the California craft brewing, is now up for sale, American Craft Beer reported on September 16.
A true heritage brewery, Anderson Valley was founded in 1987, one of 20 craft brewers in the nation at the time. And what started as a modest 10-barrel brewhouse located in the lower level of the Buckhorn Saloon in Boonville, CA, moved down the road to a 29-acre property with the production capacity of potentially 100,000 barrels.
Now on sale for $7,900,000, the brew-grounds also includes beer park developed to contain not only a tap room but a 10,000 sq ft lounge lawn, an unknown number of fairy doors hidden in tree trunks, an outdoor music stage and an 18-hole disc golf course.
Considered one of the industrys first-movers when it comes to sustainable brewing, Anderson Valley is the worlds first solar powered brewery and operates its own self-contained water use and treatment cycle.
