USA, CT: Thimble Island Brewing Companys second location in Old Saybrook now open
The taps are flowing at Thimble Island Brewing Company's new second location at 75 Main St. in Old Saybrook, which opened May 3, The Middletown Press reported.
The brew pub offers a full kitchen along with the brewerys craft beer, wine and seltzers, according to a post on the brewery's Facebook page.
The owner, Patrick Gargano Jr. is part of a longtime restaurant family. His mother Cheri Gargano owns Cheris Bakery in Branford while his father Patrick Gargano does the baking out of the commercial kitchen in the Old Saybrook facility.
Gargano, president and CEO of Thimble Island Brewing Company, said the new brew pub will be geared toward families, much like the companys flagship location in Branford at 16 Business Park.
A lot of our folks are typically more family oriented and Saybrook is kind of looking for that, Gargano told Hearst Connecticut Media in January.
The brewery occupies the former Denali building downtown, which was most recently the home of Gargano Pasta & Italian Market, owned by Garganos brother, Joel Gargano.
