Russia: Yarpivo Group announced on March 9 that its revenue in 2004 increased by 8.1 % up to US$ 227 million compared with 2003. EBIDTA in 2004 decreased by 12 % versus 2003 and totalled US$67 million. Net profit of the company in 2004 dropped by 23.4 % to US$38 million from US$49.6 million in 2003. In 2004 Yarpivo invested up to US$29 million.
In 2004 Yarpivo controlled 6.5% of the Russian beer market and sold about 530 million litres of beer, a flat figure against 2003.
The Group of Companies "Yarpivo", which comprises JSC "Yarpivo" and JSC "Pivzavod Voronezhsky", produces the beer under the brands Yarpivo, Volga, Irish Red, Slavnoe. Yarpivo is 60% owned by BBH (Baltic Beverages Holding AB).
