Australia Malt: In Australia one malthouse construction and one expansion will add 150,000 tonnes of capacity. Australia exported 250,000 tonnes of malt in July/December 2004, exactly in line with the 2003/04 exports of 500,000 tonnes. Largest customers were Korea 58,000 tonnes, Japan 41,000 tonnes, Philippines 29,000 tonnes, Vietnam 26,000 tonnes and Thailand 23,000 tonnes.
