Russia: OAO Vena has recently announced that its beer sales in 2004 increased by 18.7% versus 2003 up to 164 million litres. During 2004 Vena produced 186 million litres of beverages (besides beer it sold 19 million litres of soft drinks), which is 13.7% more than last year.
OAO Vena was created in 1992. The main shareholder of Vena is Baltic Beverages Holding with 99.99% shares. Vena brews Nevskoye beer, sells Tuborg under licence and produces low alcoholic drinks. Now OAO Vena is in the process of merging with OAO Zolotoy Ural (Chelyabinsk). By the middle of 2005 Vena and Zolotoy Ural will finish de jure their merging.
