Philippines: San Miguel Corp. announced on January 13 that its beer sales totaled 174 million cases in 2004, up approximately 15% from the previous year, according to Dow Jones.
In November, the Philippines' largest food and beverage conglomerate reported that improved gains across most of its businesses, led by its flagship beer products, propelled net profit in the nine months ended Sept. 30 to PHP5.57 billion, up 15% from PHP4.84 billion a year earlier.
Revenue for the same period rose 13% year-on-year to PHP122.4 billion. San Miguel didn't provide other details of its 2004 performance.
