Russia January-October + 11.9 %, Ukraine January-October + 12.5 %;
Japan January-October beer – 3.3 %, Happo-shu – 10 %, total – 6 %;
China January-September 235.8 million hl. Estimate for the year is 270-280 million hl = + 7-10 %;
Thailand private estimate for 2004 + 4 %;
Philippines: SMC, holding 90 % market share, reports + 10 % in January/August;
USA January-August domestic sales + 1.1 %, exports + 3.0 %, imports + 5.1 %;
Venezuela: Market leader Polar + 10 % in January-September;
Brazil + 2-3 % as per private estimate.
