Barley news Ukraine: Barley crop could drop to 7.2 mln tonnes this year

Ukraine's 2020, grain crop could decline to 72.2 million tonnes from a record 75.1 million tonnes in 2019, due to smaller wheat and barley output, analyst APK-Inform said on April 10.

The wheat harvest is likely to fall to 26.7 million tonnes from 28.3 million in 2019, while the barley crop could drop to 7.2 million tonnes from 8.9 million, the consultancy said in a report.

The harvest of corn, Ukraine's key export commodity, is likely to remain at the last year's level of around 36 million tonnes.
