Russia: Beer import up 17.4% in 2019 but growth rate drops down
Russias beer import increased by 17.4% last year to 3,57 mln hl, Profibeer reported on March 5 citing Rosstat data.
The growth rate dropped down, compared to previous years. In 2018, the nation imported 41.2% more than in 2017.
Russias total beer production, as reported earlier, decreased by 0.1% to 77.1 mln hl. Total sales fell by 2.7% to 71.32 mln hl.
In January 2020, Russian brewers produced 4.49 mln hl of beer the same volume as in January 2019 and 22.4% less than in December 2019.
