Russia: On November 17, during a plenary meeting, the RF Duma determined the composition of the Conciliatory Commission of the Federal Assembly to finalize the draft law on the Limitation of Retail Sales and Drinking of Beer and Other Similar Beverages in Public Places.

Valeriy Draganov, Chairman of the Duma Committee for Economic Policies, Entrepreneur Activity and Tourism, was appointed a co-chairman of the Commission.

The Federal Council was first to appoint its delegates in the Commission. Vladimir Gusev, the First Deputy Chairman of the Federal Council Committee for Economic Policies, Entrepreneur Activity and Property, was appointed by the Upper Chamber of the Federal Council a co-chairman of the Commission.

According to the Duma’s resolution, the maximum work period of its delegates in the Commission is 7 days.

Besides, some representatives of the RF President Administration and the Government were also invited to take part in the work of the Commission.

It is worth mentioning that on November 10 the Federal Council rejected the draft law on the Limitation of Retail Sales and Drinking of Beer and Other Similar Beverages in Public Places, which puts a ban on drinking of beer in the streets, in parks, squares and other public places.
