India: The Bihar cabinet approved on Tuesday, November 3, the excise department proposal for increasing the import fee for normal beer to Rs 25 per litre and that for strong and super beer to Rs 30 per litre, The Times of India revealed. It granted Rs 40 lakh for testing the purity of drinking water in 33 districts, Rs 3.57 crore for the scheme to improve the computer system at different treasuries of the state and Rs 92 lakh for different fishery development projects.

The cabinet approved the appointment of Bindeshwari Prasad Yadav, Kedarnath Singh and Paladhari Prasad Yadav as new public prosecutors of Saharsa, Muzaffarpur and West Champaran districts respectively.
