UK: Russian brewing force, Baltika is opening its first pub in Great Britain on October 28. The three-level beer restaurant is located in the centre of Glasgow. The cost of the project implemented in partnership with Scottish&Newcastle is more than 1,5 billion pounds sterling.
From January to September 2004 the export of Baltika beer to Great Britain increased by 20 % from the same period in 2003, the PRIME-Tass economic news agency cited the Russian company press service as saying.
In 2004, Baltika began to export beer to Australia, New Zeeland, Cyprus, Poland, Lebanon, and China 35 countries all in all. Cuba, Brazil, India, Mexico, and Costa Rica will be selling Russian beer in 2005.
