Australia: Barley harvest starts in Australia
Barley harvest has started in Australia, and the first harvest pressure can be felt in the track markets, trading at clearly lower levels compared to last week, GrainCom reported in their latest newsletter on October 26.
It is too early to talk about yields or quality, the GrainCom analysts warn.
Export business remains slow, most of the demand is coming from the domestic market.
GrainCom said they continue to work with an overall Australian barley crop size potential between 6.5 and 7.5 mln tonnes. ABARES latest estimate is at 6.91 mn tonnes.
