Canada, NS: Nova Scotia Spirit Company to open Painted Boat Beer Company in Pictou County next year
The New Glasgow News reports that a successful craft distillery in Nova Scotias Pictou County is planning to open a brewery as part of an upcoming expansion.
Nova Scotia Spirit Company will be moving the bulk of its operations from its current facility in Trenton to a new location in nearby Stellarton that is roughly 20 times the size, and company president Alex Rice tells the paper that the expanded facility will include a brewery called the Painted Boat Beer Company, as well as a restaurant.
The brewery is expected to launch in May 2018 with a yet-to-be-named lager, followed by other beers, and the expanded distillery will allow the company to have its spirits available across Canada by the end of 2018.
