World: French Castel Group seen as AB InBev’s next major target

Evercore ISI suggests Anheuser-Busch InBev's next large target may be French beverage giant Castel Group, instead of a 3G-inspired play for Coca-Cola or PepsiCo, Seeking Alpha reported on June 6.

The investment firm sketches out a valuation of roughly $20 bln to $25 bln for Castel in a takeover scenario.

Castel, which is the largest wine producer in Europe, is still a family-owned business, although AB InBev inherited a 22% stake through its acquisition of SABMiller.
