World: AB InBev says SABMiller integration continues at a fast pace
Anheuser-Busch InBev said on May 4 that its integration of competing brewer SABMiller, which it acquired last year in a $103 billion takeover, captured $252 million in cost savings in the first quarter of 2017.
The integration "continues at a fast pace," AB InBev said in its first quarter earnings report. "Beyond the cost synergies, we are every day more excited about the top-line growth opportunities arising from the combination of these two great companies," the company said in the report.
