Austrian beverage company Brau Union has announced it has increased its shareholding in Brauerei Schladming to 90%. It previously held a 33% share in the company, Datamonitor reported on January 19. The remaining 10% in the company is held by Erste Alpenlaendische Volksbrauerei Schladming Genossenschaft, an Austrian co-operative. BBAG gained a major interest in Brau Union in 2001. BBAG is itself owned by Heineken, which acquired the company in 2003.
