Dutch brewery Amstel is approaching the sector leaders Grolsch and Heineken.
The brewery has reported a substantial market share in 2000 and is going to become the second largest beer distributor in the Netherlands.
At this stage Amstel distributes beer in 100 countries and has breweries in 25 countries worldwide. The company plans to strengthen its position in European beer market by producing new brands for clients abroad.
