Brazil: Brewery Femsa's market share is growing for 6th consecutive month
Brewery Femsa Cerveja Brasil, owned by Mexican group Femsa, informed it has recorded a rise in market share for the sixth consecutive month, NoticiasFinancieras Via Thomson Dialog NewsEdge reported on January 11.
According to ACNielsen, in December 2006 the company reached an 8.6% market share, up from 8.5% in November. In June 2006, the companys market share was 7.9%.
Each point is equivalent to some R$ 100 million. The company has also announced it will prepare several actions for its leading brands during summer, period that accounts for 40% of the total beer sales of the year.
