Lithuania: Valmieras Alus will invest LVL 2.1 mln into new brewery

Brewery Valmieras Alus will invest LVL 2.1 mln into a new brewery in Valmiermuiza, Dienas Bizness published on January 11.

As informs Valdemars Dambekalns from Valmieras Alus, the construction for the new brewery has been already started and it is planned that customers will be able to buy the beer from the new brewery at Midsummer of 2008.

Company Valmieras Alus has attracted an EU grant as well as governmental funds for the project, overall LVL 807,000. It is planning to produce a high quality, so- called alive beer (without pasteurization).

On the company’s tender for establishing the new sort of the beer, the company In Mind won and will get LVL 89,200 from Valmieras Alus.
