Vietnam: Saigon Brewery will sell 15% of state owned shares
The Ministry of Industry has urged the Saigon Brewery Company (Sabeco) to accelerate restructuring, VietNamNet Bridge posted on June 28.
Sabeco, which produces 460mil litres of beer every year, accounting for 30% of the national output, will sell 15% of state owned shares.
Sabeco runs factories in HCM City, Can Tho, Soc Trang, Phu Yen and Ha Tinh. It has produced 460 million litres of beer in 2005, mostly for domestic consumption. The nation is estimated to have consumed around 1.5 billion litres of the frothy beverage in 2005.
