Turkey: Turkey has returned as a net barley exporter for the first time in 3 years
Turkey has returned as a net barley exporter for the first time in 3 years, USDA commented in its last Grain Report published on February 10. With greater supplies, sales to Syria, Morocco, and Saudi Arabia have surged. Turkey barley exports for 2005/2006 is increased 150,000 tonnes to 350,000 tonnes based on strong export and sales data.
USDA said that Tunisia barley imports for 2005/2006 is increased by 100,000 tonnes to 300,000 tonnes on strong purchases.
