India: AB InBev to establish new manufacturing plant in Uttar Pradesh
Anheuser-Busch InBev (AB InBev), the makers of Budweiser beer, will establish a new manufacturing plant in Uttar Pradesh, Food & Beverage News reported on January 25.
The company pledged Rs 1,000 crore as investment for the project at the ongoing World Economic Forum (WEF) meeting in Davos, where an MoU in this regard was signed between chief secretary Manoj Kumar Singh and Kartikeya Sharma, president, India affairs, AB InBev.
Headquartered in Belgium, AB InBev is a global beverage company renowned for its iconic beer brands such as Budweiser, Corona, and Stella Artois.
Land has already been identified for the project, including 36 hectares in sector 24, YEIDA, and 1,000 hectares currently under acquisition. This investment is expected to generate employment, assist in skill development, and increased utilisation of the states enhanced logistics and transportation infrastructure.
