USA, SC: Steel Hands Vista Distilling and Brewing now open in Columbia
A brewery that has made a name for itself in the Midlands in recent years has opened a new concept in one of Columbias busiest districts, The State reported on October 18.
Steel Hands Vista Distilling and Brewing is now open at 705-A Gervais St. in the Vista district. The new location has shared numerous messages on social media recently announcing the opening. The new Steel Hands is located in the space that formerly was home to Twisted Spur Brewing.
Steel Hands opened its first Midlands brewery and taproom in 2018 on Foreman Street in Cayce, just east of 12th Street Extension. Then, in 2022, it opened a location in Greensboro, N.C., on West Gate City Boulevard.
The new Steel Hands on Gervais Street is touting its various distilled spirits, including hand-crafted gin and vodka, as well as a pecan-flavored rye whiskey. The spot at 705-A Gervais St. is in the heart of the Vista entertainment and hospitality district. Other nearby businesses include City Grit restaurant and culinary store, Grill Marks burger spot, Craft Axe Throwing, and Tsunami Japanese restaurant, among others.
