Canada, ON: Barnstormer Brewing & Distilling planning second location in Alliston
Barnstormer Brewing & Distilling has announced plans to open a second location in Alliston, a small community approximately 40 km southwest of its original facility in Barrie, Ontario, the Canadian Beer News reported on July 5.
Taking over a space that was previously home to the Coop Public House & Foodiary, the new Barnstormer will feature a bar and restaurant with the brewerys eight core beers on tap and the same locally-focused food menu as the Barrie location, plus a retail shop selling beer and merchandise to take home.
A temporary outdoor patio will also be set up at opening, with a permanent one to be constructed for next year.
This is the second time Barnstormer has planned an expansion, with a location in Midland announced in early 2017, but cancelled later that year after an environmental study on the site found low levels of industrial contamination.
Barnstormer Alliston is planned to open in late July or early August at 265 King Street North.
