Brazil: Number of breweries in Brazil reaches 1,000
Brazils Ministry of Agriculture, Livestock and Food Supply announced that the number of breweries in the country reached 1,000 last week, Catalisi.com reported.
On average, nowadays 2 new breweries are opening every three days in Brazil (slightly more than in 2018).
Cervejaria Artesanal Mascarenhas in Lauro de Freitas, Bahia, became Brazils thousandth brewery, the Ministry said.
Since 2014, the number of breweries in the country has been growing by more than 100 every year. Last year, the total was 889 breweries.
