Serbia: Swedish-Lithuanian concern in bid for Belgrade brewery
United Nordic Beverages and Alita have come out on top with a bid to buy the Belgrade Beer Industry, B92 reported June 7.
The two companies have offered EUR 21.4mn for a 51.9 percent stake in the Belgrade Beer Industry (BIP).
The offer of EUR 4.5 per share also includes an investment plan worth EUR 5.1mn.
Slovenian Pivovarna Lako came in second, with its EUR 11.8mn bid, and EUR 9mn in further investments, the Privatization Agency said in a statement.
The tender for the sale of the majority BIP stock was temporarily halted in May.
The value of BIPs shares at the Belgrade Stock Exchange (BSE) is currently at EUR 5 per share, while the highest value recorded was EUR 8.75.
