Ukraine: Barley sowings down 2.6% from 2006
As of May 3, 2007 agrarians have sown barley at 4,124.500 ha, down 2.6% as of 2006 similar (incl. agricultural companies at 3,007.800 ha, down 3.9% against May 3, 2006 and population individual economies at 1,116.700 ha, up 0.9% as of May 3, 2006), according to State Statistic Committee, Agro Perspectiva reported May 14.
Reportedly, as of May 3, 2007 agrarians have sown spring grains/leguminous (excl. maize) at 5,458.600 ha, down 0.01% against May 3, 2006. As to Agro Perspective earlier report, in 2006 agrarians had sown winter/spring barley at total 5,305.500 ha.
