Brewing news Russia: Efes Moscow Brewery approved a Rouble bond issue in two tranches of 3 bn each

Efes Moscow Brewery, a branch establishment of Efes Breweries International N.V., approved a Rouble Bond issue in two tranches, both with a maturity of 3 years and each amounting to 3.000.000.000 Roubles, according to AK&M, March 2.

The guarantee of the issue is OJSC Brewery Group Krasni Vostok - Solodovpivo.

Efes Breweries International N.V. is a management company of Efes Beverage Group outside Turkey. The company manages 12 brew-houses of Russia (in Moscow, Ufa, Rostov-on-Don, Kazan Novosibirsk) and also in Kazakhstan, Moldavia and Serbia. In Russia EBI produces beer under the following marks: Efes, Stari Melnik, Beli Medved, Sokol, Amsterdam Navigator, Warsteiner and Zlatopramen.

Net proceeds of EBI made $20.12 mil in 2005. The gain of IQ 2006 made $292 mil with 78% made in Russia. Anadolu Efes controls 70.22% shares in EBI, the rest part is quoted on London Stock Exchange.
