Czech Republic: Czech breweries reported record sales in January 2007
Czech beer sales increased by 11.2% in Jan 2007 compared to Jan 2006, Access Czech Republic Business Bulletin reported February 28.
Reasons are the warm weather, high exports and strong demand for non-alcoholic beer. Plzensky Prazdroj increased its sales by 4.7%, Bernard by 6%, Mestansky Pivovar Havlickuv Brod by 10% and Krusovice by 10.6% in Jan 2007 compared to Jan 2006. Mainly small breweries succeeded. Some of them increased sales by nearly 100% in Jan 2007 compared to Jan 2006.
